TESOL International Association Announces 2026 Award Recipients

The TESOL International Association has announced its 2026 award recipients, recognising outstanding achievement, leadership, and service in the field of English language teaching. The awards celebrate educators and scholars whose work continues to advance English language learning worldwide.
Among the most notable honourees is Rashad Ahmed, named the 2026 TESOL Teacher of the Year. Ahmed is an associate professor at Jacksonville State University and a Fulbright alumnus. His work spans teaching, research, and professional service, with a strong focus on innovative approaches to language education, including the use of artificial intelligence in learning. He will be formally honoured at the TESOL 2026 International Convention & Expo in Salt Lake City, Utah.
TESOL also highlighted other award recipients, including leaders recognised for their contributions to advocacy, scholarship, and service within the profession.
