English Teacher - Italy: Cittanova
Atena School Srls are looking for a English teacher to work with students aged 6 and up, including adults, from October 1st to June 30th (25 hours/week, afternoons only).
Job Role
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 25 hours/week (Afternoon Lessons)
Teach English to students from age 6 to adults.
Prepare students for Cambridge English examinations (e.g., Starters, Movers, Flyers, KET, PET, FCE)
Adapt teaching methods to different age groups and proficiency levels.
Salary and Benefits
Monthly Salary: 1,361 (net)
Weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) always off.
Other school breaks:
Christmas Holidays: December 23rd, 2025 to January 6th, 2026
Easter Holidays: April 2nd to April 7th, 2026
National Public Holidays: December 8th, 2025; May 1st, 2026; June 2nd, 2026
Additional bridge day off: May 2nd, 2026Support with Housing and Local Integration.
They assist new teachers in finding suitable accommodation and help them get oriented in the area. This includes showing key locations such as hospitals, public services, supermarkets, and public transport options.
Weekly Italian Language Lessons.
To support your integration, they offer one private Italian lesson per week with a qualified native speaker teacher, free of charge.
Specialized Training Course (Paid by the School)
Enrollment in a certified online course focused on teaching languages to students with special educational needs (SEN). This course is mandatory but fully funded by the school.
Requirements
Native or Native Level English speaker (mandatory)
Availability to work 25 hours per week in the afternoons.
Able to commit from October 1st, 2025 to June 30th, 2026.
Comfortable teaching both young learners and adults.
Basic classroom management and communication skills.
Priority will be given to candidates who hold one or more of the following qualifications:
Cambridge CELTA
Trinity CertTESOL
TEFL/TESOL Certificate
Degree in Education, Pedagogy, Humanities, or related fieldsPreferred (but not required):
Teaching experience
Familiarity with Cambridge English exams
TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification or equivalent
Experience working with non-native speakers
