A Day in My Life - Marketing Executive

Welcome to our new segment, A Day in My Life! Each post will feature a member of our team, as they take you through a day in their life at UK-TEFL.

There’s really no such thing as a “typical day” in my role. I’m often pulled into different projects, but there are a few recurring tasks that anchor my routine. Having a structure helps me stay focused and productive, so I thought I’d bring you along for a behind-the-scenes look at how my day unfolds!

7:00 AM – Gym Session
I like to start the day with some form of exercise. A gym workout or a swim session gets my energy levels up and clears my head before sitting down at the desk.

8:00 AM – Coffee & Emails
Once at the office, I make a coffee, check emails, and take care of anything that needs quick action. It’s my way of setting the day in motion and making sure nothing urgent slips through the net.

8:30 AM – Blog Research
Today’s project was researching for my latest blog post: a TEFL Travel Guide to Taiwan. I spent this time digging into resources, gathering notes, and mapping out ideas.

9:30 AM – Writing & Editing
With my research at the ready, I draft the post and polish it up. Writing always flows best when I’ve done the groundwork first.

10:40 AM – Daily Mile Walk
A quick break to stretch my legs with a mile walk along the promenade. It’s amazing how a short walk resets the brain. Everyone in the office walks together, so it’s a nice way of getting up and out after a few hours work at our desks.

11:00 AM – Blog & Socials
Back to my desk with a second coffee. I create social media posts to promote my latest blog, then publish everything across each platform.

12:00 PM – Email Marketing
Next up is crafting an email to share the blog with our newsletter subscribers. I also made sure to highlight a featured product in the email, which helps to tie everything together.

2:00 PM – Lunch & Walk
By this time, I’m ready for some food! I grab a quick lunch, followed by a short walk to refresh for the afternoon.

2:30 PM – News Research
After lunch, I turn my attention to news updates, looking for anything relevant to TEFL, and write up a post to keep readers in the loop.

3:30 PM – Wrapping Up
The final stretch of the day is spent clearing emails, tying up loose ends, and checking tomorrow’s schedule so I’m ready to go in the morning.

4:30 PM – Home Time
Workday wrapped, and time to switch off. See you tomorrow!
