This course is designed for students in Year 9, 10, or 11. The workshop provides students the opportunity to discover what TEFL is, and where it could take them. Students take part in fun activities designed to introduce them to the foundations of TEFL.

WHO ARE UK-TEFL? 

We are one of the UK’s leading providers of Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) training. With extensive experience in the English teaching profession, our dedicated training team members each have at least three years of post-qualification overseas teaching experience. Our management team has been involved in TEFL training for well over a decade.

WHO ARE UK-TEFL ENDORSED BY?

UK-TEFL is a platinum Approved Training Qualifications UK (TQUK) Centre. TQUK is a national awarding body and is regulated by Ofqual (The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation).

HOW MANY STUDENTS CAN ATTEND A COURSE? 

Classroom Courses:

  • TEFL Experience Workshop. These half-day sessions are not priced per student but per group. We would advise groups no larger than 21.

  • Beginner Recreational Learning Course in TEFL. Minimum of 8 students required.

  • Level 2 Certified Learning Course in TEFL (20 Hours). Minimum of 8 students required.

  • Proficient Professional Development Learning Course in ESL/EAL Support Training for Teachers - Minimum of 5 teachers required.

We recommend a class size of no larger than 21. We can accommodate larger numbers (21+) by running a number of sessions, either simultaneously or on alternative days.

Online Courses:

  • Level 2 Certified Learning Course in TEFL (120 Hours). No minimum number of students required.

  • Proficient Professional Development Learning Course in ESL/EAL Support Training for Teachers - E-Learning Course. No minimum numbers required.

WHAT AGE IS THE COURSE SUITABLE FOR?

  • TEFL Experience Workshop. We recommend students aged between 13-16.

  • Beginner Recreational Learning Course in TEFL, Level 2 Certified Learning Course in TEFL (20 Hours) and Level 2 Certified Learning Course in TEFL (120 Hours). We recommend students aged 16+.

  • Proficient Professional Development Learning Course in ESL/EAL Support Training for Teachers. 18+.

DO THE STUDENTS NEED TO BE STUDYING ENGLISH A LEVEL?

No, but we recommend that students have achieved (or predicted) GCSE English grades 9-4 for our Certified Learning Courses.

WHAT WILL THE STUDENTS NEED TO BRING TO THE COURSE? 

A pen and paper to take notes.

WHAT DOES THE SCHOOL NEED TO PROVIDE?

Classroom Courses:

  • Classroom, flipcharts and pens.

Online courses:

  • Access to a computer room, or tablet (unless the course is to be completed at home).

WHAT ARE THE TIMINGS OF THE COURSE?

Classroom Courses:

  • Experience Workshop. 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm.

  • Beginner Recreational Learning Course in TEFL. 9am-4:30pm.

  • Level 2 Certified Learning Course in TEFL (20 Hours). 9am-4:30pm on both days.

  • Proficient Professional Development Learning Course in ESL/EAL Support Training for Teachers. 9am-4:30pm.

The above timings are used as a guideline and can be adapted to suit your school’s needs.

Online Courses:

  • Level 2 Certified Learning Course in TEFL (120 Hours). Students will have 24/7 access to the online course for 6 months. Schools often schedule course completion as part of a weekly enrichment slot.

  • Proficient Professional Development Learning Course in ESL/EAL Support Training for Teachers. Teachers will have 24/7 access to the online course for 3 months.

ARE ALL TRAINERS DBS CHECKED?

Yes, all trainers hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate.

HOW CAN I ARRANGE A TEFL COURSE AT MY SCHOOL?

WILL UK-TEFL SUPPLY PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS?

Yes, we can provide promotional material (free of charge) to help with advertising. Additionally, you can also book in an assembly slot for a UK-TEFL representative to promote the course (availability dependent).

DOES A SCHOOL REPRESENTATIVE NEED TO BE ON SITE?

We ask that a school representative is there on day one to meet and greet your trainer.

WHO CAN JOIN THE UK-TEFL COURSE? 

Teachers, parents, students and anyone with an interest in TEFL can attend the course at your school. You can advertise to other local schools that you may be in partnership with as well.

(Proficient Professional Development Learning Course in ESL/EAL Support Training for Teachers is recommended for teachers only).

WHAT IS THE PAYMENT PROCESS?

Classroom Courses - Beginner Recreational Learning Course in TEFL, Level 2 Certified Learning Course in TEFL (20 Hours) and Proficient Professional Development Learning Course in ESL/EAL Support Training for Teachers

  • Once you have the minimum number of students required confirmed, let us know and we’ll send a booking form to secure your course. Once signed, we’ll send an invoice to your school for the minimum number of students required. After the course finishes, we’ll invoice for additional students who have attended the course.

E-Learning Courses - Level 2 Certified Learning Course in TEFL (120 Hours) & Proficient Professional Development Learning Course in ESL/EAL Support Training for Teachers

  • Since there are no minimum requirements for our online courses, we will invoice your school based on the number of students enrolled once you have confirmed the names and email addresses of all participants. We can also invoice for additional students after the initial enrollment. For example, if you start with an initial group of 5 students and later have 3 more students who wish to join, we can add them to the enrollment group and invoice accordingly for the additional students.

  • We offer an option for students to pay and self-enrol through our website. If you‘d like to explore this option, use the contact information on the next page to reach out.

TEFL Experience Workshop

  • Once you are ready to confirm the workshop and secure your booking, we will send through a booking form. Once signed, we will send an invoice for the total cost of the session.
