The Philippine government is taking steps to attract remote workers with the introduction of a new "Digital Nomad Visa" aimed at bolstering the nation's tourism sector. Senator Joel Villanueva has filed Senate Bill No. 2991, designed to provide foreign nationals with the opportunity to live and work remotely in the Philippines for one year, with the possibility of renewal.

New Zealand has eased its visa regulations to attract "digital nomads" (individuals who work remotely while traveling) in an effort to boost tourism. Under the updated rules, visitors can work remotely for a foreign employer while enjoying a holiday in the country for up to 90 days.
