Volunteer English Teacher - Central America
Garden School Victoria are currently looking for volunteers to teach English in Honduras.
Number of positions: 8
Job Role
Monday through Friday from 7am-2.10pm.
Volunteers have at least two free periods throughout the day to lesson plan but are required to be at school the full day.
Weekly meeting with volunteers after school on Wednesdays.
Occasional outside-of-school events or meetings.
Salary and Benefits
Housing in a shared volunteer house.
Food.
Transportation to and from the airport.
Monthly stipend of $80 USD as well as a weekly stipend of $25 USD for food.
Costs covered associated with a visa extension and any medical expenses incurred while in Honduras.
Volunteers receive teacher training and run their own classroom (which is perfect for people who are thinking about going into teaching in the future and want the experience!).
In-classroom support as needed.
Teaching supplies provided.
Spanish classes available if interested.
Volunteers reimbursed for their flights depending on how long you volunteer with Garden School Victoria.
6 months commitments: 80% of flights costs (max. 700 USD)
10 months commitments: 100% of flights costs (max. 1000 USD)

Passion for helping.
Love working with kids.
Willingness to work hard to benefit their students.
No experience required.
TEFL certificate beneficial.
