You may find yourself teaching in poorer countries, where resources are not available. Completing this course will help you to prepare for the times that you are faced with a lack of resources, as well as equip you with the skills to become more creative and resourceful in your lessons.

The course takes approximately 10 hours to complete and you will have 90 days to finish the course, allowing plenty of time to study at your own pace, when it is convenient for you. Assessment

This course includes one assessment consisting of ten questions, which you will need to achieve 75% or above to pass. The course is designed to challenge you, but there are no trick questions and the answers are all within the course.

You will also be given a homework task to complete and upload. Homework tasks are mandatory, but not graded (unless you have chosen to purchase the 150 Hour Advanced Online TEFL Course). Please note the homework task must be completed offline and uploaded via a desktop. Don’t worry if you don’t have the ability to do this, just let us know and we’ll be happy to upload your task for you.

The course is online and can be accessed from any laptop, computer, mobile phone and tablet, which means that you don't have to live in the UK to take the course. 

Is there an age limit on who can enrol?

The course is aimed at anyone; therefore there are no age restrictions.

Are any particular qualifications required to enrol on the course?

This course is designed for those who already have some TEFL knowledge, but would like to further their training by specialising in a specific area of TEFL. Therefore, as well as the ability to speak English fluently, you should be TEFL certified before taking this course.

Do I need any books to take the course?

You don't need any books to take the course. The course does present you with recommended reading - including books and websites - which you may want to consider taking a look at.

Is there an exam?

There is an assessment at the end of the course, with ten questions for you to answer. To pass the course, you must achieve 75% on the assessment.

What type of questions will I get asked?

You will be given a mix of multiple choice questions and questions that require you to type a key word or phrase into the box given. All questions are based on the content of the course, so you won’t be asked anything that you haven’t seen previously.

Is UK-TEFL an accredited training provider?

Yes, UK-TEFL is a platinum Approved Training Qualifications UK (TQUK) Centre, which means all our courses are endorsed by TQUK. TQUK is a national awarding body and is regulated by Ofqual (The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation). 

Do I receive a certificate upon completion of the course?

Once you have successfully completed the course, you will be able to download your certificate from the course itself. You can also purchase a hard copy for £5, which includes UK postage and packing. Please note: If you live outside of the UK, you will be required to pay an extra £2.95 for overseas postage.
