Liz's TEFL experience in Italy

Liz took an Standard TEFL Course January 2016 in London and is now teaching in Italy.

How would you rate your course?

Outstanding

What drew you to taking a UK-TEFL course?

I have moved to Italy and I wanted to be able to teach my language to others.

Tell us what you are doing now? Can you describe a typical day as an EFL teacher?

I do one hour a week with four children and I have just been offered a part time job in a language school.

What is your favourite part of Teaching English as a Foreign Language?

I think it is to see how the children gain confidence when they know they are doing well, thanks to my teacher on the course I have been able to include fun elements to keep them interested.

Why did you choose your teaching location? What is your favourite thing about living there?

I was moving to Italy to set up an airbnb and thought it would be an extra string to my bow. I am now very glad that that I have this extra string as our house has been badly damaged by the three earthquakes and now we will have to wait a long time to get our project up and running again.

What are your future plans?

Who knows now as it may take a very long time to get our house repaired in the circumstances.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to Teach English as a Foreign Language?

I would say it is very rewarding.

Would you recommend taking a UK-TEFL Course?

Yes.
