Course Overview

The UK-TEFL Live Online Virtual TEFL Course is the perfect introduction into the world of TEFL. The practical course is taken over 2 days and led by one of our experienced trainers. Not only will you be taught by one of UK-TEFL’s TEFL trainers who have years of experience and will be able to answer all your TEFL questions, you will also spend the two days with fellow students looking to take the same path as you.

This fast paced and engaging course will cover all important aspects of Teaching English as a Foreign Language. You’ll cover valuable teaching methods and techniques, grammar, lesson planning and much more through the use of fun hands-on activities. You will even get the opportunity to plan and teach your own lesson – fully preparing you for when you first step into the classroom.

We believe in that smaller class numbers leads to more successful training! We find that a class size of up to 16 allows for plenty of 121 support, while allowing you to work in teams with fellow trainees.

Once you have completed the 2 days of training you will be qualified to Teach English as a Foreign Language. The majority of our students use their TEFL certificate to move abroad as it provides a great opportunity to earn money while travelling the world. For those who are looking to use the TEFL certificate in the UK, the course will enable students to teach at summer schools, volunteer in their local community, or set up their own business teaching privately. For many of our graduates the course has enabled them to lead life long careers in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.

After the course you will be emailed your electronic certificate. You can also purchase a hard copy version or upgrade to a TQUK accredited certificate (only £20 for Live Online students, usually £30), which is great for making your CV stand out when you are applying for TEFL jobs.

Taking this course will give you the knowledge and confidence you need to get your dream job teaching overseas or in the UK privately. Once you have completed your course, you can take full advantage of our jobs portal and apply for any jobs you are interested in. So what are you waiting for? Sign up today!

Your peers will give you feedback on your lesson and you will watch and feedback on theirs.

Many people wonder how you can teach English to foreign students without knowing how to speak their language. You will see how this works by learning some key phrases in a new language without the use of English translation. By the end of the course you will have taught two lessons at the appropriate level of your students and be confident about teaching lessons in the future.

Really good course. It helped me a lot with nerves about teaching in other countries, helped me understand how to plan lessons, how to engage with pupils and gave me some advice on travelling in other countries. The tutor was nice, funny, and enthusiastic. I feel like I learnt more because she kept us all engaged and interested. The tutor made sure it was not boring and used a range of activities, group work, and partner work - June 2020

Very insightful and engaging, a lot of interactive group work, even when done virtually. Our tutor was very good at working with us over the internet and made us feel comfortable during group work - July 2020

I thought it was an incredibly engaging and insightful course. I thoroughly enjoyed it - July 2020
