-
Try and make lessons your lessons engaging and motivating to keep your students interested. Use tips learnt on your UK-TEFL course to connect with your students as not all of them will learn in the same way.
-
If you are losing the concentration of your students, try and use visuals and music to make lessons more interesting. Students will adapt better to learning they are constantly stimulated.
-
The us of study sheets for your students will break things down for them. For Example :a 'recording vocabulary sheet' may contain the word, pronunciation, synonym and the context in which it is to be used. This is a fantastic way for students to get to grips of how to use the English language.
-
If you find that your students have reached an itermiadiate level and are on a plato, you may find using intermediate language and phrasel verbs may help to re-engage them.
-
In my lessons I hold an English only rule in the classroom. This helps the students think in English and pick up the vocabulary better.

-
Expose your students to different voices and accents via tape so they can get used to a vast amount of accents. There are so many accents in the UK alone that students have to get used to the way different accents sound instead of picking up your own accent.
-
Encourage all students to get an Oxford English dictionary. This way they will have a standard dictionary to help them in their studies.
-
Take into account different learning styles as all your students will learn best in different ways.
