Emma Lay
DELTA

Emma is now DELTA qualified, she obtained this in Manchester where she is currently employed as a Director of Studies. Emma has gained a lot of her experience working in Barcelona teaching in a number of language schools. She has also worked in China! Emma can speak Mandarin and Spanish. .

Nicola Baird
CELTA, Trinity Diploma in TESOL, MA TESOL

Nicola has taught English in the UK, Ireland, The Czech Republic and New Zealand. She has trained extensively in EFL recently completing a Masters in TESOL and has been an assistant Director of Studies at EF Manchester. She is currently an associate lecturer at Preston University and is studying for an MA in Applied Linguistics. When she is not teaching and training, Nicola can be found in the Lake District or the Alps, skiing, camping and hiking.

Charlotte Mason
CELTA, MA TESOL

Charlotte is a dynamic and experienced EFL professional. She has been teaching English for a number of years in a number of different places, including China and Manchester and is currently an associate lecturer with the Open University and teaches part time at the International Study Centre at Lancaster University. Charlotte has recently completed a degree in Humanities at the Open University. Charlotte can impressively speak French, German and Mandarin.

Caroline Meadows
DELTA

Caroline has taught in the UK, The Czech Republic and Mexico. She is a fluent Spanish speaker and is also a qualified diver and mountain leader. She has most recently been lecturing at Manchester Metropolitan University and has also run summer schools for them.

 

Dani Mundy
DELTA CELTA

Dani has extensive training as a EFL teacher in, and also outside, of the UK. She has taught English in Spain to students, and is fluent in Spanish, with a high level of French also. Danielle obtained her DELTA from Warwick College.

Bethan Edwards
Cambridge ESOL CELTA DELTA

Bethan has recently qualified in DELTA and has extensive experience as an EFL teacher already in the UK, France and Ecuador, including being a teacher trainer for public and private sector teachers. She is fluent in Latin American Spanish and also studied French at University.

Ruthie Collins
Trinity TESOL

Ruthie gained her TESOL certificate in Barcelona, 2002. Since then she has worked with several leading language schools such as The British Study Centres and EF, covering a range of ages and abilities. She has also taught Business English to high level executives from all over the world, plus helped international students prepare for entrance to a UK university. She can speak German plus a little Spanish!

Naheen Madarbakus
Trinity TESOL

Naheen now has a certificate in TESOL and is currently studying for a Trinity Diploma in TESOL. Naheen has extensive English teaching experience in the UK, South Korea, and Japan. She has taught University students, as well as children and adults. She has been a University Instructor in Seoul, South Korea, and a Lecturer at a Graduate school in London. She speaks French very well and has begun to learn Korean and Japanese. 

Gemma Davies
Trinity TESOL CELTA DELTA

Gemma has been TEFL qualified since 2001 and has since been CELTA qualified and has recently completed a DELTA professional qualification. Gemma has been teaching for 7 years now and can speak some Mandarin. 

Meryl Burgess
TEFL

Meryl speaks fluent French and Spanish, she obtained a degree in French before her TEFL career and also gained a PGCE in modern languages. Meryl has extensive experience as an EFL teacher with a combination of TEFL and teaching modern foreign languages in both primary and secondary schools. 

Jenny Watters
CELTA TRINITY TESOL

Jenny has 12 years teaching experience in many continents starting in cities from the UK, Ireland, Poland, Australia and Taiwan. She gained a PGCE in teaching and recently qualified at distinction level. Jenny knows enough Polish to teach it. 

Sonja Tack
DELTA CELTA

Sonja has gained a MA in ELT and Applied Linguistics as well as a postgraduate certificate in Online and Distance Education. She also has 11 years of teaching experience. Sonja can speak Portuguese and has studied an impressive 8 other languages! 

Mike Furber
Delta

Mike has been teaching for over 15 years, with most of his experience coming from working in the UK at language schools and further education sectors. Mike also trained overseas English teachers in the Homerton Teachers College. Further experience has come from teaching in Spain, Italy and the Czech Republic putting his Spanish and Italian to good use.

Emma is now DELTA qualified obtaining her qualification in Manchester where currently she is the Director of Studies in an International College. Emma has worked in both China and Barcelona, she gained most of her experience whilst in Barcelona teaching children and advanced learners in various institutes. Emma can speak Mandarin and Spanish!
