Why did you choose to do a UK-TEFL course?

I chose to do a UK-TEFL course to gain the skills and the recognised qualification to enable me to teach English abroad.

How did you find the course?

The course was great! I had expected it to be really difficult, but in actual fact it was far more achievable that I had thought, and the pace and structure was easy to follow. I really enjoyed the entire weekend!

Would you recommend the course to others?

Yes, the course was very good so I would definitely recommend it!

What was the best part of the course?

I couldn’t choose one aspect as I enjoyed it all. From going in as a complete beginner, I felt by the end that I had learnt so many new things and gained valuable skills to use in teaching.

Where do you plan to teach English?

Now I have my qualification, I am keen to find work in Saudi Arabia as soon as possible. I have been on holiday there in the past, and loved it, so I think it would be great to return there to live. Also, from researching job opportunities, I have found that there is a good demand for teachers over there, and the salaries and benefits are excellent too.

What is the most interesting/helpful thing you learnt on the course?

The most helpful thing I learnt was to have confidence in the classroom, even if you forget something or haven’t got the right answer. This is definitely something I will be incorporating into my own teaching in the future.

Are you going to keep in touch with other students and trainer?

I have already got my trainer’s email address, and I intend to keep in touch with her in the future!

Have you done any travelling? Any travelling tips?

My travelling experiences in the past are from holidaying abroad, so I am looking forward to a new adventure and getting to grips with the challenge of living and teaching abroad!

What are your long term goals or ambitions?

Long term, I hope to make Saudi Arabia my permanent home.

Any advice for those thinking about doing a course?

Give it a go! You won’t regret it!
