Why is there a demand for English teachers?
There is a high demand for English teachers in Peru, but low wages and red tape often put people off. For those with persisitence the rewards are great, as there are large volumes of vacancies particularly in LIma and many employees in businesses are told by their managers that they must learn English. Most people seek English tuition in their spare time, ensuring that the freelance market is very promising and with the cost of living relatively low, Peru is a great place to teach.
