TEFL COURSES IN LONDON

UK-TEFL intensive training courses are an established route to becoming an employable English teacher. You will be awarded a Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) on successful completion of the course. This is an internationally recognised qualification and will allow you teach English in the UK and overseas. Our 2 day TEFL courses in London are held at Regents College, and Kingston University. Our 3 day TEFL courses in London are held at Kingston University, and London Met University.

Is there parking available at the London venues?

For Gloucester Road: There is a secure, underground car park at the hotel with limited parking.

For Regents College:
Regent's College campus provides 73 car parking spaces. Parking is not pre-allocated, and is available on a first come first served basis. When the campus car park is full, there is on-street parking available on the Inner Circle, just opposite the college. The car park tariff is £2 per hour or part of hour. The weekend rate is £10 per visit. Please be warned that Crown Estates have parking attendants regularly patrolling the area.

How far away are the London training centres from major railway stations?

London's major railway stations have immediate access to the Underground system. Simply take the underground to Baker Street and follow the instructions above. Visit National Rail Enquiries for up to date information on Train services and times in the UK.

Regents College
 Using London Using London Underground, exit at Baker Street tube station, take the Marylebone Road exit and turn left. Walk past Madame Tussauds, before taking the next left onto York Gate, which continues onto York Bridge. Follow the road into Regent's Park and the main entrance to Regent's College will be on your left-hand side. Total walking time is approximately 5 minutes. 


Kingston University - Kingston Hill
Trains run regularly from London Waterloo to Kingston upon Thames and Surbiton stations (at least every 15 minutes). The train journey takes approx 25 minutes.


London Metropolitan
From Euston, take the Victoria Line towards Walthamstow Central Underground Station. Change trains at King's Cross St.Pancras Underground Station and take the Piccadilly Line towards Cockfosters Underground Station. Exit at Holloway Road. The journey will take approx 10 mins.

Kingston University - Penryhn Road

Penryhn Road campus is a 15 minutes walk from the Kingston Rail Station. There are also buses from Cromwell Road which is just next to the Rail Station. 

London - Gloucester Road

The Holiday Inn is a 2 minute walk from the nearest tube station, Gloucester Road which is served by the Circle, District and Piccadilly lines. Turn left out of the station onto Gloucester Road, take the first right onto Courtfield Road, then turn right into Ashburn Place and the hotel is on your right.

Where do students attending the London UK-TEFL course come from?

In the past, students have come from Watford, Reading, Oxford, Essex, Kent and Guildford to attend the UK-TEFL weekend TEFL courses in London.

Are there any lunch facilities at the London training centres?

At all locations, tea/coffee is provided, however lunch is not. Please note that the majority of facilities are available term-time only.

Regents College has many places for you to eat. There is the Refectory (open sat 8:30-4 sun 9-7), Regents Delicatessen sells wraps, soups and warm snacks, Coffee Shop (open sat/sun 8-4:30) and the Student Bar and Grill.
 

Kingston Hill and London Metropolitan University have a cafeteria onsite selling a range of hot and cold food.

Gloucester Road has a good selection of food and refreshments available at the Consortia Restaurant and Cromwell Tavern.

Is UK-TEFL an accredited training provider?

Yes, UK-TEFL have been awarded Part B accreditation on the Investing in Quality licence which gives formal recognition to our in-house programmes.  Students can opt in to be formally assessed on their course to receive an NCFE issued certificate of achievement. NCFE is a recognised awarding organisation and further information on our accreditation and the NCFE can be found here>

After the Standard Course, is there any further training that I can do?

The UK-TEFL Advanced Certificate Course is a great top up or refresher after completing the UK-TEFL Standard Course. The Advanced Course will Specialise in Teaching Business English, Teaching English to Young Learners, Teaching to Advanced Learners and One-to-One Teaching. This 2 day course is available nationwide and is priced at £200.

How much do the standard courses cost?

UK-TEFL courses are between £200 and £250 depending on the location and duration. This includes the course, refreshments and your course certificate.  

How old do I need to be to enrol on a course?

The  You must be aged sixteen or over to enrol on a UK-TEFL course.
